Red like blood.

Yesterday was the 59'th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in WWII. In the old days I would probably have posted a lengthy posting lamenting the thirty million lives this conflict cost Germany and Russia and heralding the heroism of the Russian men and women who fought against a odious enemy set on their destruction.
But these are not the old days, in Czechnia the local resistance decided to set off a bomb on a stadiom where the (occupying) Russian army was celebrating the anniversary, killing Czechnia's (Russian backed) president and (as usual) wounding a fair amount of innocent bystanders. Well...Russia has always been one of the world's great imperialists, maybe that simply comes with being a large country.
