On my last week at work, come Friday I can FINALLY have some vacation!

Well, expect some vacationing here at the blog too, starting today postings will be irregular and probably far apart until around early August.

25.000 visitors total, and a weekly average of a thousand! - not bad for a skinny greaseball kid from the Lower East side, who took a lot of punches but worked his way up the hard way!

Nope, sorry, that's somebody else's life...

Have a nice one!

Bad temper is getting me in trouble these days...

What can I say besides - I'm sorry?

rarely helps...

Tired I am.

Well, I'll find some relief by listening to Sam Cooke and The Soul Stirrers and their fine (ultimate?) version of that old Gospel classic: Peace In The Valley

Young immigrants are failing the IQ-test required to join the Danish army!

This is viewed as a bad thing, because very few immigrants are joining the Army in the first place.

Nobody, not even the media, has actually used the words "stupid" or "dim" so far...

"Hey, Kareem! - I heard they called you up for the white man's racist, hash-smoking, porkchops-eating, waste-of-time Army!

Yes, but I flunked the IQ-test so they let me go!

That old trick?!!?!?!!

Yea, can you believe it!

(both together) KISS MY CHUDDIES!

Just a thought...

Palestinian immigrant Ali Aladdin who has previously lived in both Sweden and Germany, has this to say about language:

"six months, that's what it took me to learn German, the Germans are patient.
The Swedes, they are very open - they will help and correct you if you make a mistake
I get so tired talking with the Danes. Either they say they don't understand a word or they just laugh at you so you get scared away from trying..."

Are we having fun yet!

Haloscan commenting have been added to this blog, which means you can write comments to my postings, just click on the "Comment" button right there below every posting.

I will prefer commenting to be done in a polite and respectful manner, something like:

"Greetings to you Lennard Grahn, the brave, the virile, the luminous, the strong, the intellectually gifted and insightful, the protector of the innocent, the generous, the wise, the witty and the droll, praise to you Lennard Grahn!"

then followed by your comment.

As of today my old project together with artist Morten Alsinger closes down

We're both taking new directions in life, but we won't forget:

The Fun!
The Fame!
The Afterparties!

- and the skinnydipping.

You can still view the things we did: Here

or read Morten's blog "Notes of a Secondrate poet" at his new URL:

Danish officer Annemette Hommel stands trial accused of "rough treatment" and "refusing prisoners water" while interrogating prisoners in Iraq.

She has explained that prior to the interrogations she was briefed by her superiors who explained that "the culture down here (in Iraq) is more rough and masculine, so it might be necessary to be tougher than usual in order to get results"

It was a Dane assigned to the Danish forces as an interpreter who accused Hommel of "going to far" and he also claims Danish soldiers often refers to Iraqis as "dogs" or "monkeys"

-Oh those male-chauvenist Arabs, think about how they treat their poor women!
Male-chauvenist pigs - we all hate that kind of people, right?..

Some of the prisoners have since stated they were convinced Annemette Hommel was a man and refused to believe she could have been a woman.

Are we having fun yet!

Michael Jackson goes free - Rent-a-Jury strikes again? persecution of a successful black person by conservative racist bigots? The cost of genius? Did he do it? Did he not?

Once again the worlds most fucked-up culture dominates our minds (through its own world wide distributed media!)

Lennard Grahn, a Yankie-bashing Eurocrat? - you betcha!

What do the people of the world have in common? very little I suppose.

Different sexes, different religions, different cultures, different political views, different philosophies, different views on life all over.

Except for one thing:

We all hate being lied to.

So if you get the chance, watch this excellent movie about the war in Iraq: Why We Fight

Hooray for me! - this blog began two years ago!

I started out writing about a Danish hippie-turned-Lama (whom I hated, of course)

Ah yes, the good old days at "Don't ask..." when I could still get worked up over things...

Babe - After a fiesta of poodle haired bad taste I will seek refuge in the well-groomed stylishness of the 1930's (Note: No nudity in this picture)

RIP Anne Bancroft (1931-2005)

Famous for her role as Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate (opposite Dustin Hoffman) I remember her for a hilarious performance as the actress Anna Bronsky in another of my all-time favorite films: To Be or Not To Be, which also included her husband - Mel Brooks.

Predominantly green woman with strange-but-sort-of-eighties hairstyle in the colour of blue.

(Well, that concludes "My own art and Showgirls Week" - what will be next?..)
