Rumour has it that Robert Crumb has completed 44 pages of a scheduled 200 for his comic book version of The Genesis (no, not the band...)
With Crumb's long standing reputation as the acid-fueled, sex-obsessed wierdo of comicdom this choice of subject comes as a surprise to most.
Not so, in my opinion, and a hint of what we might expect could be found in Crumb's rendition of The Religious Experience of Philip K. Dick where he depicts scenes from biblical times.
Another important clue is Crumb's admiration for cartoonist Basil Wolverton who also did a series of highly original illustrations for The Bible in the 1960's
