Dean Martin (1917-1995) would have been ninety years old today.
Dubbed "the coolest man who ever lived" by Playeboy magazine, I remember his off beat shows aired on Danish television back in the seventies. They served somehow as an antidote to much of the stuffed workers' shirt Marxism of the day, since nothing could be further away from that than "Dino" in his tux, drink in hand, on a glittering stage presenting a parade of celebrities and babes interrupted by a bit of world class crooning and some raunchy jokes.
