learning-to-see is a highly interesting site chronicling the efforts of a former British art school student and his journey (back) to realistic painting and drawing.
The site displays his laborious and impressive efforts at attaining a set of skills equal to the academic art training seen before the arrival of the modern age.

A rocket launcher mounted on an armoured version of the half tracked "Maultier" (mule in German) lorry. These were used both for laying down smoke screens prior to attacks, or if large scale raids by enemy bombers were expected, and for shelling concentrations of enemy troops.
