Back in the early eighties I got hold of a copy of the comic book KAR WAR - A riveting tale of sci-fi war coupled with a great sense of humour and voluptuous women.

The Artwork was stunning - Done in crisp Black and White with a natural feel for cartooning and the artist was Brazilian born Alain Voss

Many other remarkable works flowed from his able brush during that exiting time, like the spaced-out but very observant satire on Rock: HEILMAN, made in the late seventies when he was a contributer to the legendary Metal Hurlant magazine.

Since those days of greatness apparently very little has been published by this outstanding artist, I thought, until today when I discovered that he's still working and has a profile on Deviant Art

Retro babe "...Lucky number..."
Panzer Sturmgeschütz III, Ausf G
Arriving at a factory for repairs. A Stug cost 82,500 Reich Marks to build (a Tiger cost 300,000) so a lot of effort was put into retrieving and repairing still useful vehicles.
(unfortunately) Also my people
(regrettably) Also my war
