"What are you doing Saturday?..", uhm, - Nothing...

Among the many taboos alive in today's Denmark, this I believe must be the greatest:

To do nothing

You simply can't,"do nothin..."

You might want to do nothing for the sake of getting rid of some stress,

You might want to do nothing to "recharge the batteries",

You might want to do nothing just for the shear pleasure of it,

But that doesn't compute in todays Denmark.

Except, if you pretend that you are in fact doing SOMETHING...

it's OK to go to the movies, sit in a dark room and not really pay attention...

it's OK to go to the beach and lie down in the sun for a couple of hours to get a tan,

it's OK to walk the dog,

- mow the lawn,

- do the garden,

- go to the carwash,

But to openly admit that you have simply pressed the "pause" button and just sit there DOING NOTHING and perhaps let a few braincells bump into each other...

It's a sin.

(And also Un-American)

Retro babe"...yeah, yeah, yeah that happens to all guys once in a while, OK!.."
Panzer Tiger I
Fighting with sPzAbt 502 near Leningrad in the fall of 1943.
Note the feifel aircleaners installed on the rear deck and the unusual style of the balkenkreuz, tank on the right is Russian, a rare KV-85.
(unfortunately) Also my people
(regrettably) Also my war
